As we approach and get ready for Construction Safety Week we are pausing to ask ourselves why this week matters and we look forward to recognizing the people and practices that help build a stronger, safer industry.
Construction Safety Week has become a TRICO tradition. It is one of the ways we slow down and recognize the people who make safety real every day. The teammates who plan ahead on complex jobs. The crews who walk the site, spot hazards, and make smart adjustments. The folks who follow the plan, speak up when something changes, and look out for the people working beside them.
We are fully aligned with the All In Together theme for Construction Safety Week. Safety is our number one core value, and being all-in is one of our core values as well. Those values show up in many ways. We follow safety protocols because they are in place to protect people. We learn from what does not go as planned and apply those lessons to improve moving forward. And we treat each other with respect, because this work is tough, and it is safer and easier when you know the people around you genuinely care.
Throughout the week, we will be highlighting some amazing members of our team, sharing their perspectives on safety, reflecting on Construction Safety Week’s pillars of Recognize, Respond, and Respect, and having a little fun along the way.
