On September 22nd, TRICO opened the project gates to all donors of the new Skagit Valley Family YMCA.  YMCA staff held interactive tours showcasing building features including family gymnasium, second level indoor running track, 6 lane lap pool, recreation pool with lazy river, fitness studios and learning kitchen.  Public tours will be held once a month until opening. Checking in on the Skagit Valley YMCA.  Structural steel completed.  Thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) roofing over 90% finished.  Permanent power installed.  Pool plumbing being connected.  Gym being painted.  Next up, continued framing of walls, pool plaster and decorative tile finishes, and installation of gym hardwood flooring. TRICO is breaking ground on a new 2,800 sf outdoor patio and dining area including a 500 sf covered area for the Mill Creek Country Club.  The dining area will include three outdoor fire pits with 90 lf of wall seating.   Edna Kupiers (pictured) is the current board president.  Edna came for the groundbreaking ceremony thinking that there would be gold shovels for throwing a scoop of dirt and was surprised that she got to climb into our excavator and...

Despite recent weather challenges, TRICO continues with placing concrete foundations and walls.  The picture is showing the crane stripping the sheer wall off of the stair just north of where the gym is located.
