The Northwest Innovation Resource Center (NWIRC) hosted a Community First Look and Ribbon Cutting event for the IRC Lab – SWIFT at the Sedro-Woolley Innovation for Tomorrow Center. The event brought together community leaders, industry partners, entrepreneurs, and innovators to celebrate this milestone in creating spaces that drive progress, collaboration, and connection.
The renovated facility includes four primary areas designed for small businesses and startups, with private offices, open coworking spaces, multipurpose rooms for training and presentations, and prototyping shops equipped with advanced technology. The lab brings together the tools, expertise, and resources entrepreneurs need to take ideas from concept to reality, supporting innovation across sectors such as Clean Tech, Agricultural Tech, and Blue Tech.
Northwest Washington thrives when we work to build the innovation capacity of our region. The innovators, entrepreneurs, and creators who will use this facility represent the spirit of possibility that drives long-term economic development and community vitality.
Special thanks to the Port of Skagit, state and local representatives, Red Oak Architecture, and our exceptional trade partners for helping bring this vision to life.
We are proud to help build spaces where innovation takes root, positively impacting communities, advancing individual aspirations, and strengthening the businesses that drive our region forward.
