• Description – Fruitdale Road Arterial Improvements consisted of building a new roundabout to service the Port of Skagit County’s Swift Center. The project widened Fruitdale Road from McGarigle to Northern State Road and added pedestrian and drainage improvements. The project also repaired a section of Fruitdale Road that had been closed since 2010 due to a landslide, reconnecting north Fruitdale Road with State Route 9. These improvements will ease congestion in the area, and give the Port of Skagit’s Swift Center direct access to both SR 20 and SR 9.
