SWIFT Center & NWIRC Tenant Improvements

At the Port of Skagit’s SWIFT Center, TRICO partnered with the Northwest Innovation Resource Center to transform an existing facility into a vibrant hub for innovation and entrepreneurship. The tenant improvement and exterior upgrades create a modern, flexible environment with offices, coworking spaces, multipurpose rooms, and prototyping labs equipped with advanced technology—spaces designed to empower local startups and small businesses to grow and succeed. Interior renovations include selective demolition to create larger work areas, new structural supports, updated finishes, and improved mechanical and electrical systems. Exterior improvements feature new composite roofing, hollow metal doors, gutters and downspouts, ADA-compliant upgrades, parking lot refinishing, and enhance HVAC and electrical systems to improve building efficiency and comfort. The lab brings together the tools, expertise, and resources innovators need to take ideas from concept to reality, supporting growth across Clean Tech, Agricultural Tech, and Blue Tech sectors. The entrepreneurs and creators who will use this facility represent the spirit of possibility that drives long-term economic development and community vitality.
