Innovation Takes Root

Jun 2, 2026 | Affiliates & Community, Civic / Community / Recreational, News

Ag innovation continues to take shape in the Skagit Valley. With footings and slab complete and erection now underway, this new greenhouse facility at the WSU Northwestern Washington Research and Extension Center will support the next generation of agricultural research and development.

Delivered through a collaborative design-build approach alongside Washington State University and local partners including Miles Sand and Gravel, LangCo NW, Inc., MTC Testing & Consulting, Inc., and HKP Architects, this project reflects a shared commitment to supporting ag innovation in our region.

Once complete, the facility will support research focused on plant health and sustainable growing practices that directly benefit the local agricultural community.

Great work by our self-perform civil, concrete, and construction teams as the project continues to take shape.
