Topping out is a long-standing construction tradition that celebrates the completion of a building’s structural steel. Signed by those connected to the project and raised with an evergreen tree, the final beam honors the teamwork and effort that made this milestone possible. The evergreen tree is traditionally associated with a safe building and brings life to the new structure.

This milestone marks an important step in the Eagle Harbor project as construction moves from the structural phase to the work of enclosing and building out the facility. When complete, the project will deliver a modern, energy-efficient welding shop along with renovated machine and storage areas, creating improved spaces to support more than 100 shipyard trade workers.
