Harvest season celebrates the farms, food, and people that make the Skagit Valley special. It also highlights the year-round research and education supporting the future of local agriculture. The greenhouse we completed at Washington State University Northwestern Washington Research and Extension Center continues to support that important work, providing space for faculty, students, researchers, and agricultural partners to study plant health, sustainable growing practices, and crops that are central to the Skagit Valley and Pacific Northwest. By expanding opportunities for research and innovation, the facility helps connect discoveries in the greenhouse to the farmers and communities they serve.
