Exciting progress continues on the Emergency Department refresh at Whidbey Health, all in support of delivering faster, more accessible emergency care for our community.
One of the most visible and impactful changes is the redesigned reception area. The previous circular desk, often overlooked, has been replaced with a welcoming, centrally located registration hub. Now clearly positioned at the main entrance, it provides an intuitive point of arrival for patients and families, improving wayfinding and ensuring quicker access to care.
Additional upgrades include a refreshed main triage room, an updated patient exam room, and early improvements to the emergency corridor. These enhancements are just the beginning. Coming soon: upgrades to the remaining exam and trauma rooms, nurses’ station, and staff support spaces.
